Award Winning Picture

We recently asked the well know German photographer Tom Pingel (www.tompingel.de) to shoot some pictures of finished projects. This picture shows one of our most complicated beach projects we ever tackled through the hood of a Mercedes Benz. What more could one say about German quality?

The project depicted in the hood is in a 130 mph hurricane zone in South Carolina. It is directly on the beach. We custom designed and built four glass towers and one stair tower in addition to smaller windows, a one-off, custom made pivoting entrance door, and large, French lift and slide doors. Each piece of impact glass weighed in excess of 500 lbs. Custom made steel frames concealed behind Red Meranti wood trim all designed, delivered and installed by Henselstone, complement a tough and unique hurricane installation. The home has been featured in dozens of publications and won design awards.
